COVID-19 Policy

Mesa View is committed to two primary values during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Jesus' instruction to "love your neighbor as yourself." We pursue this by doing our part to mimimize the risk of viral spread both within the Mesa View Congregation and the community at-large.
  • Our calling to go and be the church by supporting ministries that cultivate hope in a dark time.

To maximize safety while providing venues for faith-formation, our congregation is called to covenant together to follow best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID is real and it is dangerous.

We will proceed cautiously, we will alter plans when needed, we will listen to one another, and, if necessary, we will move backwards if we find evidence that we could do harm.

Furthermore, Mesa View will continue to adhere to all public health orders issued by the State of New Mexico.

OUR CURRENT COVID POLICY REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING:

  • Congregants and guests are asked to wear a mask whenever inside our buildings.
  • Seating in worship and at other events will be spaced to permit social distancing. Please sit with your household only.
  • Ushers will check-in attendees at all worship gatherings to allow for contact tracing if an outbreak occurs.
  • If a person has recently attended Mesa View and tests positive for COVID, please contact the church office and notify us. That way we can contact anyone potentially exposed. The privacy of all persons will be protected.

In general, when you are at Mesa View, we ask that you love your neighbor as yourself. If someone's comfort level is different than yours, be kind and do your best to accomodate one another.
