"Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray."
Proverbs 22:6 (NRSV)
Our preschool is a mission of Mesa View to help spread the gospel message to a new generations, and welcomes children ages 2-4.
Our program is designed to meet the needs of preschoolers by allowing them to actively explore and create. Children learn through “play-based” activities that cover language, math, science, and social skills.
God is the foundation of our program. Children are introduced to basic Christian principles in a natural and logical way. Through weekly chapel times and Christian themes, children begin to develop an understanding of God’s love.
Our two-year-old program is designed with the active and curious two-year-olds in mind. Activities are hands-on and help children build skills appropriate for their ability level. Children use play-based activities to learn social skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and basic academic skills, such as colors and numbers. Two-year-olds are encouraged to explore many hands-on centers including: blocks, dra- matic play, art music, and reading. Our educated staff understands the development of two-year-olds and plans all activities with two- year-olds in mind.
The world is full of wonder and excitement to a three-year-old. It is the time of why, what, and how. Children are encouraged to use their natural desire to explore to learn about the world around them
Four-year-olds are energetic and imaginative. The world is their stage, and they are ready to act. Children are encouraged to express themselves through art, music, and play. Children develop confidence and build self-esteem, while building relationships with their teachers and classmates.
Our pre-k readiness program is a five-day-a-week program for four-year-olds that allows children a more gradual transition to full-day kindergarten. Children work on basic academic and social skills to prepare them for the next year.
