Prayer for the week:
O my Lord, I discern in my anger a sense of self-righteousness which is much to close to pleasure. And I think of you, Lord. You were never angry in your own defense, and you took no pleasure in anger: else why the cross? But you were angry for God: you were angry for those who sold him as a commodity; you were angry with those who used God for their own status; or who treated God as belonging only to them.
O Lord, implant in me a holy fear of the wrong kind of anger, which ministers to my own sense of self-importance, or is simply an indulgence of my own frustration. Forgive me, Lord, for all such occasions.

We believe in the power of prayer and its ultimate ability to bring us into closer relationship with God. We have two prayer teams at Mesa View:
Our Prayer Partners pray for the church and its leaders. Each day one member of our team is praying for the concerns of the moment.
Intercessory Prayer Team
Each week during worship we lift up prayer concerns and celebrations, and we receive others throughout the week. Our intercessory prayer teams lifts up these prayer concerns and celebrations every day as part of their own daily prayers.
Our prayer teams usually gather each month to learn about prayer and to pray for the church and for each other. Check our calendar for the next prayer breakfast.
